SUMMARY:2023 Affiliate Summit
DESCRIPTION:FASD United Affiliates will gather in DC for a week of workshops\, information sharing\, celebration and advocacy. This week will consist of a number of segments\, all of which you as an affiliate are welcome to attend and participate in.  Your Affiliate Summit registration will include registration options for all events taking place during the week (with the exception of the Red Shoes Gala) without having to register for each separately.  Unless noted otherwise\, all events will be held at the Summit Hotel. Click HERE to register for the Summit \nMonday\, September 18th: \n\nState of the Affiliate Network 1pm – 5pm (Affiliates Only): Join us to kick off the Affiliate Summit with an update from FASD United and updates from within the Affiliate Network (business casual).\nNetworking Reception 6pm-7pm: Meet with Affiliates\, Researchers and Advocates from around the country.  Light food with a cash bar\, non-alcoholic choices will be available. (business casual).\n\nTuesday\, September 19th: \n\nAn Impactful Network: Widening the Circle 8:30am-4:30pm: lunch provided. (business casual)\nThe Red Shoes Gala 6:30pm-9pm at the National Press Club: A separate ticket to this event is required.  Black tie optional.\n\nWednesday\, September 20th: \n\n2nd Annual Workshop on FASD: The State of the Science 8:30 am-4pm: Hear from the top FASD Researchers\, Advocates and Others to get insight and updates into the growth and emerging trends of the field.  Lunch on your own (business casual)\n\n\nThursday\, September 21st: \n\nAdvocacy Day at the US Capital\n\nKick-off at the summit hotel 9am-10am\nHill Visits Launch 11am\nCaucus Briefing 1 pm\nT-Shirts Provided for participants – you will want to wear walking shoes.\n\n\n\nClick HERE to register for the Summit \nAll affiliates will receive invitations to the summit week and will not need to register for each event separately with the exception of the Red Shoes Gala.

DESCRIPTION:Registration is still open for Arkansas’ 7th Conference on Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders – Thursday\, September 9\, hosted by Arkansas None for Nine.\nFetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders are the most common cause of preventable developmental disabilities.\nThis event will bring together parents\, prevention advocates\, key stakeholders\, and health care professionals\nfrom around the state for an exciting day of learning and networking. \nWe are pleased to announce that UAMS has approved continuing education credits for health professionals!\nWe will also provide certificates for K-12 teachers and PDR Credits for early childhood educators.\nCertificates of attendance will be provided to all attendees. \nOur keynote speakers for the conference will be Donald ‘Craig’ Peterson and his two sons\, Michael and Andrew.\nAdditionally\, the Peterson family was recently interviewed by THV11 Reporter Hana Williams.\nThe interview will be broadcast Thursday\, August 26th at 9 a.m. on THV-The Vine.
