Impact Week Call for Abstracts Now Open!
This year, in collaboration with the Affiliate Network Executive Committee, we’ve added a Poster Reception on the evening of Monday, September 15th, to Impact Week. The Impact Week Poster Reception is an opportunity for members of the Affiliate Network, Researchers, Community Organizations, Government Agencies, State and National Organizations, and others to share information, research findings, opportunities for collaboration, and services with the broader audience at Impact Week. This audience represents a very diverse cross-section of the FASD community and will include people with FASD and their families, clinicians and other professionals, scientists, state and federal agency employees, as well as members of the CDC FASD National Partner Network.
We are accepting abstracts (proposals) for two types of posters:
Information Posters – These should share resources, collaboration requests, or information on a program or service available to the community. These should avoid jargon, be highly visual, and use plain language.
Research Posters – These should share results or findings from a study or a project. It is okay if the findings have been presented elsewhere, provided the poster visuals are new and the poster is done in plain language and accessible to the layperson or general public.
You can submit an abstract for an Information Poster or a Research Poster (or both, if you have enough people attending to present each poster).
Note: We will not accept information posters selling products or promoting a specific for-profit business.
Information Poster abstracts from Affiliates will automatically be accepted as a perk of being a member of the Affiliate Network. If you submit an Information Poster abstract as an affiliate, we have a template that you can use to help organize your poster or feel free to create your own.
A team of professionals will review the submitted Research Poster abstracts, and applicants will be notified if their abstract has been accepted, needs changes to be accepted, or has not been accepted by July 30th, 2025.
