Action Items & Opportunities
- Call for Abstracts Open – 20th International Conference on Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders. Submissions are open until November 24th, 2026. Read the guidelines and submit your proposal here.
- Where You’re At Session Recoding: Disability EmpowerPath are working on a software solution to hold and navigate the needs of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). They are leveraging FASD as a framework for universal design to set up the framework, and are at the point where they’re seeking out partnerships for places to implement their project. If you are interested in learning more, access recording and info here.
- Mental Health Community of Practice: The Community of Practice is a free, monthly peer consultation and reflection group for mental health clinicians. Offered in partnership by FASD United and CanFASD, the group meets virtually on the last Thursday of every month, and provides clinicians a space to learn alongside others doing the same work. Please share or use this form to sign up to join the MHCOP. The next meeting is Thursday, October 29 at 2 pm EST.
- UCLA Child Brain Study Recruiting: This study focuses on hyperactivity, ADHD, and FASD. As part of the study, child participants will receive a FREE cognitive & behavioral assessment, an FASD assessment, 4 weeks of trial treatment, 2 MRI brain scans, and a $100 Target gift card. Next Meeting
Our next monthly meeting will be on November 19th from 3:00 – 4:00 pm EST. FASD Affiliate Monthly meetings are always on the 3rd Thursday of the month.
