TRAINING/EDUCATION: Provider Education and Training

Purpose of the Workgroup: Provide research-based, field-tested professional education and training resources across the span of professions who interact with people in childbearing years and people with an FASD seeking services and supports.

Planned Deliverables (Outcomes): Crosswalk of modules/training resources and professions (for example, OB/GYNs, nurse midwives, social workers, teachers, probation officers, judges, case managers, chemical dependency providers) that affiliates and NOFAS can add to their websites.

Timeline: September 2020

Work Group Expectations (time commitment, meeting schedule, etc.): Monthly one-hour conference calls in April-August as needed. Work group members will be expected to identify professions, research existing curricula, and provide input for inclusion in crosswalk (EXCEL file matrix).
