FASD Network of Southern California, a 505(c)(3) nonprofit formed in 2014, is a grassroots consortium of caregivers and professionals who are committed to raising public knowledge about Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD) and reducing its stigma to ensure people affected by FASD get the support needed to achieve their fullest potential in all aspects of life. The Network provides information, support, and training to caregivers, professionals, community organizations, and human service agencies in California’s ten southern counties to increase their knowledge and skills about FASD. It maintains a resource-filled website, hosts several monthly support groups, facilitates private Facebook and google email groups, sponsors conferences, and provides presentations and training on FASD. Established in 2000, the FASD United Affiliate Network exists to increase communication among FASD colleagues and organizations, share resources, unify core values and messages, and turn up the volume on the appeal for attention and resources.
