We are thrilled to announce a fresh slate of leaders joining the Affiliate Network Executive Council (ANEC). As we continue to strengthen FASD United’s mission and values, we’re excited to introduce four new ANEC members, each bringing invaluable expertise and a steadfast commitment to fostering positive change in the FASD community.
Let’s meet our new council members:
Stacia Stribling, PhD.
Deputy Director, Formed Families Forward
Stacia Stribling is a dedicated advocate for families formed through adoption, kinship care, and foster care. With years of experience in family support and educational initiatives, Dr. Stribling has been instrumental in promoting holistic approaches to learning, well-being, and family dynamics. As the Deputy Director of Formed Families Forward, she emphasizes evidence-based programs that address the unique needs of families affected by FASD.
When we asked, “Why are you interested in joining ANEC and what priorities would you be interested in advancing as a member of ANEC?” Stacia shared, “I think my background as a teacher, a researcher, and a parent of kiddos with FASD positions me well to positively contribute to the Executive Council.”
Tim Diffenderfer
Director of Development, The Papillion Center
Tim Diffenderfer has spent his career driving growth and engagement strategies for organizations supporting children and families. At The Papillion Center, he has played a key role in expanding services that provide therapeutic support for children and adults impacted by neurodevelopmental disorders, including FASD. His focus on sustainable development and resource management will be a great asset to the ANEC.
In response to the same question, Tim said, “I have served professionally in many leadership roles in my career to help those most underserved. I have been involved in policy, fund, program, and evidence-based practice development in my lengthy years of service.”
Kendra Gludt, MPH
Director of National Programs, Proof Alliance
Kendra Gludt’s public health background, coupled with her leadership in national programming, makes her a formidable advocate for FASD prevention, education, and support services. As the Director of National Programs at Proof Alliance, Kendra has overseen various strategic initiatives that elevate awareness and expand support networks. Her passion for policy change and education will drive ANEC’s efforts to build comprehensive support for FASD communities nationwide.
When asked, “Why are you interested in joining ANEC and what priorities would you be interested in advancing as a member of ANEC?” Kendra replied, “I love collaboration and connection, and in this role on the Affiliate Executive Council, I hope to bring my experience and contribute to the many ways that being an affiliate can benefit the various members of this network.”
Lex Loutzenhiser
Policy Manager, Illuminate Colorado
Lex Loutzenhiser is committed to advocating for policies that create healthier environments for children and families. In their role as Policy Manager at Illuminate Colorado, Lex has led efforts to influence state and national legislation aimed at enhancing protective factors for families and preventing the occurrence of FASD. Lex’s policy expertise and dedication to equitable outcomes will enhance ANEC’s ongoing policy advocacy.
Responding to the same question, Lex said, “I would be grateful to join ANEC to collaborate with fellow advocates, including ANEC members, FASD United, and affiliates, who engage in different areas of work across the U.S. to continue to build a coordinated and collaborative movement to promote awareness and create positive change. I would enjoy supporting FASD United’s policy priorities through a collaborative approach that promotes shared leadership among policymakers, policy advocates, FASD family and self-advocates, and professionals who serve families impacted by FASD. I would be interested in advancing federal, state, and local policy change by building collaboration, offering technical support, and creating additional opportunities for shared learning among advocates from all walks of life.”
Looking Ahead
This new slate of ANEC members reflects a diverse set of skills and perspectives that will guide us toward achieving our strategic objectives. As ANEC continues to play a crucial role in aligning efforts across the Affiliate Network, these leaders will contribute to shaping a future where individuals with FASD and their families receive comprehensive, informed support.
We are excited to work alongside these inspiring advocates and look forward to the innovative approaches they will bring to the ANEC. Please join us in welcoming Stacia, Tim, Kendra, and Lex to the council!
Stay tuned for updates as we continue to advance our mission and foster meaningful connections within the FASD community.
